BIPOC Bodywork Program

 

The BIPOC Bodywork Program is meant to provide funds towards bodywork-related appointments such as Massage, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, and Reiki for local BIPOC community members. 

Recipients choose the type of provider they’d like to receive services from and who they would like to schedule an appointment with.  If you need help finding a provider, just let us know! We pay up to $120.00 towards a body-care related visit. It’s easiest for us to pay for the service online via the providers website, through purchase of an electronic gift certificate or card, or on CashApp. We are typically able to choose 4 recipients from our waitlist each month.

 

Depending on the provider type, we may only be able to partner with bodyworkers who are currently credentialed or licensed in their respective fields. Feel free to message us with any questions or considerations regarding this though.

In-Store Credit Program

 

While we no longer offer 100% discounts to all customers like we used to, we still wish to honor our mission and values relating to accessibility. The Radical Abundance In-Store Credit Program helps us do just that.
 

Recipients of this program are given $50 worth of in-store credit at Radical Abundance to be used within a 3 month period. We are currently able to give $50 in-store credit to 5 people per week. Once we reach your name on our waitlist, we’ll email you or call / text you depending on your preferences. We ask that you limit applications to 1 per quarter.

July 1st - September 30th

Transgender Hair Removal Electrolysis

 

This program aims to provide funding for 1 year of electrolysis or approximately $2,160.00 worth per person. It is typical to have 2 appointments per month unless there are extenuating circumstances. We fund around 3 people per year for electrolysis and currently have 35 people on our waitlist. We prioritize Transgender Women within this program and work with a local Electrologist for gender affirming care. 

 

Electrolysis can be a bit uncomfortable depending on the region, and sometimes numbing agents are used for added comfort. Recipients of our program choose one area to treat-chest, face, or genitals. The FDA (for what that’s worth) considers electrolysis the only permanent hair removal method, however if you would like to use laser instead we have a separate waitlist for that too!

Transgender Hair Removal Laser

 

The program aims to fund laser hair removal for 6-12 months depending on the person’s needs and treatment response. We fund around 3 people per year and have 11 people on our waitlist currently. Appointments are usually spaced 4-8 weeks apart and your laser technician will create an individualized treatment plan depending on the region you choose to focus on. The technician we partner with uses a laser safe for all skin tones. 

 

 Before applying for our laser hair removal waitlist please consider the following:

• Laser does not work on blonde, white/grey, or red hair

• No Accutane use within 6 months of laser

• Tanning while getting regular laser hair removal may irritate the skin and cause pigmentation changes
